Privacy policy
Under EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR), here is what data Capodanno a Sorrento processes and why.
What data we collect
- Contact and request forms: name, email, phone (optional), arrival date, number of guests and the text of your message.
- Technical data and statistics: the server logs IP addresses and requests for security reasons, stored securely for the time technically needed. Only with your consent, Google Analytics 4 collects aggregate, anonymous visit statistics (see the cookie policy). Our server also counts, anonymously, the pages opened, where the visit came from, the type of device and clicks on the contacts of offers and venues, without cookies and without storing the IP address: an encrypted fingerprint recognises the same visitor only within a day and is deleted at the end of the day. Only anonymous totals remain, which we see and, for its own offers, the venue; totals are deleted after 400 days (listing totals after 24 months). Legal basis: our legitimate interest in measuring the service (Art. 6.1 f).
- Favourites: what you save with the heart stays only in your browser (the device's local storage) and is never sent to or stored by us.
Why we process it
To answer your requests, for the security of the website and to comply with legal obligations. The legal basis is your consent and the request you make (art. 6.1 a and b GDPR) and, for security, the controller's legitimate interest (art. 6.1 f).
For how long
Messages are kept for as long as needed to handle the request and in any case no longer than 24 months; security logs only for as long as technically necessary.
Who can see it
Only the controller and the technical suppliers running the site (hosting, email), appointed as data processors. Data is never sold or passed to third parties for commercial purposes.
Requests for offers
Capodanno a Sorrento does not sell packages or take payments: requests sent from an offer page are forwarded to the venue that publishes it (and a copy is kept by us). The venue handles your data as an independent controller under its own privacy policy, to reply and manage the booking.
The iPhone and Android app
The Capodanno a Sorrento app needs no account, uses no analytics or advertising tracking and does not ask for your location. It downloads offers and events from the website and keeps them on your phone; favourites and the chosen language also stay only on your phone. When you send a request for an offer, the app sends the form data (name, email, optional phone, arrival date, number of guests and message) to the website, where it is processed as described above; name, email and phone are kept on your phone to prefill your next request and are deleted when you uninstall the app.
Your rights
You can ask for access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability of your data by writing to Email, and lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (Garante, garanteprivacy.it).
